How it all began - I was born in India and lived there until my twenties initially pursuing studies in Hospitality Management and Catering Operations. Then I moved to the UK and worked for few years in the hospitality industry, also run bakery cafe business for several years. But deep down within there was always longing for something to know about the life and my existence in this physical world which drawn my attention towards this question who am I? Knowing little about Spirituality, I started self inquiry to find the supreme truth and to understand the way Universe provides guidance. I felt the call to study Reiki and I learnt and practiced Reiki, both the Usui Lineage (Western and Eastern lineage) from my teacher Torsten Alexander Lange and become Reiki Master. My journey of self - discovery also led me to the college of Psychic Studies, London, and was instantly drawn to the Accredited Healing diploma course and become an accredited Energy Healer.
Reiki gave me an intimate connection to nature and ultimately a beautiful way of connecting to my own soul.

The system of Reiki was founded by Mikao Usui born on 15 August 1965, he grew up in the rather remote village of Tanai in the Gifu district, a mountainous region in central Japan. Tanai did not have a school at the time, so he would have been educated by monks of the local Buddhist temple. His family belonged to the Samurai, however, around the time of his birth this group was stripped of the privileges they had historically enjoyed and had to embark on a normal career.
After several unsuccessful attempts to restart his career, he eventually gave in and decided to accept this as a turning point in his life- and to devote it to religion and a deeper spiritual understanding. So he joined a monastery in Kyoto. However, after three years of training he had still not reached the depth of understanding he had hoped for and was advised by the abbot to retreat into the mountains to fast and meditate. This is where he found his connection to Reiki.
At least, this is the story traditionally passed on. He may,therefore have withdrawn into the mountain to bring his life to an end and therefore restore the honor of his family.
In early 1922 he walked to Mount Kurama near Kyoto and spent the next 3 weeks on the mountain top, following a strict discipline of fasting and medication. On the 21st day he suddenly saw Light. Indeed, he saw nothing but light, a meditative experience he never had before, and he realised that he had seen truth. Beyond the darkness, the difficult times in life, there is light. And with this realisation the difficult ties become merely experiences, they do not define anymore who we are. He realised that his shortcomings were forgiven and that he was always connected to this light. Mikao Usui described this experience as being connected to the highest energy of the Universe- for which he used the term Reiki.
